Will the retractable screen fit with my décor?
There are many colours to choose from. The housing is low profile 1 ¾”Wx1 13/16”d.
We designed the housing with no sharp edges – just rounded corners so it blends nicely with your door frame. All the screws, etc have colour matched plugs so they are not visible.

Do your doors slam back quickly?
The speed can be adjusted and there is a speed reducer available if required.

Can I screen an extra large door with a retractable?
Up to 109” high and 54” wide. Ask about other options for larger openings.

Can I get a locking bar or a lock?
Yes.

Will the metal parts rust or corrode?
No. All hardware is stainless steel.

Does the retractable go on the inside or the outside of my door?
If your door opens in, the screen mounts on the outside. If it opens out, the screen mounts on the inside.

Can I use a retractable on a sliding patio door?
Yes, the patio application is excellent.

Can a retractable work on French Doors or European Doors?
Yes, retractables are a great option for French doors

With French Doors, do I need a bar installed in the middle?
No.

How strong are the doors?
The bar is made with heat treated aluminum 6063 alloy which is aircraft grade.
The mesh is heavy duty pvc coated fiberglass which is up to 15 times stronger than standard mesh.

Are there different types of mesh available?
Yes, pet mesh, solar mesh, regular mesh, black mesh, and light gray mesh.

How long is the warranty on retractable screens?
Lifetime warranty excluding the mesh.

What if someone walks into the door?
It will retract but in most cases will not damage anything.

What happens if I have a problem with my screen?
Just call us and we will be there. After installation service is as important to us as the initial installation.

I have a beautiful home. Should I worry about the installation?
No we use only professionally trained installers and pay attention to the small details that others might miss.

Can I install a retractable in my condo?
Strata approval is required before we will do any installation. If the installation is on the inside, it is normally less of an issue.

How strong are your window screens and patio door slider screens?
Stong. They are made with heavy guage aluminum unlike the earlier types where the frames were easily bent.

Can I screen windows that open out?
Yes, they are screens with a small wicket, to allow access to the window handle.

Can I use retractable screens on my windows?
Yes.

How do I clean my retractable screen?
The mesh can be cleaned with an upholstery brush and a soft damp cloth to clean the hardware. A spray of silicone on top and bottom rails will ensure smooth operation.

How do I clean my awning?
Swela fabric resists soil so a gentle spray with plain cool water will wash away most debris, dust, etc.
If a more thorough cleaning is required, spray awning with lukewarm water, use soft brush and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.

Can the retractable mesh be replaced?
Yes, it can be by an installer.
